Garden Installation & Planting in Acworth, GA

A good garden is the difference between a house and a home from the street. Burnt Hickory installs whole gardens, plants flowers and shrubs suited to Georgia, pulls what is not working, and finishes every bed with fresh straw or mulch so it reads cared-for the day we leave.

Whole-garden installs

Starting from scratch or reworking a tired bed, we shape the space, amend the soil, and plant it out with shrubs and color that suit the light and the Georgia climate — not whatever was on sale that will be dead by August.

Planting and shrub removal

New flowers and shrubs in, tired or overgrown shrubs out. We take out what is crowding the house or has outlived its spot and replace it with plantings scaled to where they are going.

Finished with straw and mulch

Every install ends with fresh pine straw or mulch to hold moisture, choke weeds and pull the beds together. It is the finishing coat that makes new plantings look intentional instead of bare.

Questions

01Do you design gardens or just plant them?

Both. We will lay out a whole bed — shaping, soil prep, plant selection and install — or simply plant what you have already picked.

02What plants do best in Acworth-area yards?

We plant shrubs and color suited to Georgia heat, clay and light rather than whatever is cheapest — so it is still alive and full in August.

03Can you remove old overgrown shrubs?

Yes. We pull out shrubs that have outgrown their spot or crowded the house and replace them with plantings scaled to fit.

04Do you refresh mulch and pine straw?

Every install finishes with fresh straw or mulch, and we top it off on recurring visits to keep beds looking finished.

05Can I add planting to my recurring service?

Absolutely. Since we already keep the property, seasonal color swaps and new plantings are an easy add with one crew.
